Cars don’t break down on Tuesday at 10am when it’s convenient. They die in the heat on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road at 5pm Friday with a queue building behind you. We arrange car recovery and towing at Al Bedaya Garage so you get the car to a workshop you trust, not a random yard.
What does our recovery and towing service cover?
Three situations we handle:
Breakdown recovery. Engine won’t start, gearbox stuck, overheated, dead battery that jumper cables won’t fix. We dispatch a flatbed and bring the car straight to our Ajman workshop or to a destination of your choice.
Accident recovery. Minor collision, driveable or not, we’ll collect the car after you’ve sorted the police report and insurance paperwork. We have insurance-approved processes for major UAE insurers.
Long-distance recovery. Car died in Hatta? Sharjah? Dubai? Ras Al Khaimah? We arrange recovery from anywhere in the UAE to our workshop.
If you need on-the-spot help (jump start, fuel delivery, tyre change), we can do that too in the Ajman-Sharjah corridor.
How much does car recovery cost in the UAE?
Local recovery within Ajman: AED 150 to AED 250.
Sharjah to Ajman, or Dubai to Ajman: AED 250 to AED 450 depending on time and distance.
Further afield (RAK, Fujairah, Al Ain): we quote based on actual distance, usually AED 500 to AED 1,000.
Night-time or peak-hour calls cost slightly more because the recovery team has to redirect, but we tell you the number before we dispatch. No surprises on the invoice.
How long does recovery take?
Within Ajman: 30 to 60 minutes from your call to truck on-site.
Sharjah or Dubai: 60 to 90 minutes typically. Peak Friday traffic, longer.
Cross-emirate: depends on traffic and time. We give you a realistic ETA when you call.
When should I call for recovery instead of trying to drive?
Don’t try to drive in these situations:
- Engine warning light is red (not amber) and stays on
- Temperature gauge in the red zone
- Smoke or steam from under the bonnet
- Gearbox slipping or stuck in one gear
- Brakes feel soft or pedal goes to the floor
- Strange knocking from the engine that gets worse with speed
- After any collision, even minor, until you’ve assessed damage
Sound familiar? People drive on a red warning light all the time. They turn a AED 800 sensor job into a AED 12,000 engine rebuild. Don’t.

What we’ve learned from 25 years of UAE breakdowns
Two patterns we see weekly:
Summer breakdowns are 90% cooling system. July to September, the calls are all the same, temperature spike on the highway, owner tried to limp home, head gasket gone. If your gauge climbs into the red, pull over, switch off, call us. Even 5 minutes of running hot can destroy an engine.
The wrong tow type damages the car. Front-wheel drive cars towed with the front wheels down ruins the gearbox. All-wheel drive cars need a flatbed, full stop. We always send flatbeds, period. Some other services send hook-and-chain trucks that aren’t safe for modern cars.
We had a customer last August (he’s been driving the same Honda Accord for 12 years), engine started knocking on the Dubai-Ajman bridge. He called us instead of pushing it home. Turned out a coolant hose had split. We replaced it for AED 400 and saved his engine. If he’d driven another 10 minutes, it would have been a AED 8,000 rebuild.
Trust us on this. The recovery call is the cheap part.
FAQ
What number do I call for recovery? 052 101 6628, same number for the workshop. We dispatch from there.
Do you operate 24 hours? Workshop hours are Saturday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm and 4pm to 9pm. Recovery dispatch is available during those hours. For middle-of-the-night breakdowns we recommend calling Dubai Police 999, who will dispatch an emergency tow, then move the car to us in the morning.
Will my insurance cover recovery? Many UAE comprehensive policies include free roadside assistance. Check your policy. If yours doesn’t, we charge directly. If yours does, we can liaise with the insurance recovery team and bring the car to us.
Can you recover a car with no keys? Yes, if the wheels turn. We use a flatbed and winch.
My car’s in an underground car park. Can you still recover? Most modern flatbeds have low-clearance options. Tell us the building when you call and we’ll send the right truck.
Will you tow to a workshop I prefer, not yours? Yes. Your car, your choice. We’ll quote and tow wherever you want it.
