Look, recovery & towing in Dubai is something we do every week at Al Bedaya Garage. Our workshop is 20 minutes from most Dubai neighbourhoods, just over the border in Ajman Industrial Area 2, which works out well for drivers commuting on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and SZR. (we’ve seen plenty) You drop the car in the morning, we run the job, you collect later the same day.
What does our recovery and towing cover?
Three situations. Breakdown recovery (engine won’t start, overheated, dead battery beyond jumper-cable help that may need battery service, stuck gearbox), we dispatch a flatbed and bring the car to our workshop. Accident recovery (driveable or not, we collect after the police report). And long-distance recovery anywhere in the UAE. Always a flatbed, never hook-and-chain, modern cars don’t tolerate the old style. (trust us on this)
How much does recovery cost in Dubai?
Local recovery within Ajman: AED 150 to AED 250. Sharjah or Dubai to our workshop: AED 250 to AED 450 depending on time and traffic. Further afield (RAK, Fujairah, Al Ain): AED 500 to AED 1,000. Night-time or Friday-peak calls cost a little more, but we tell you the number before we dispatch. No surprises on the invoice.
When should you call recovery instead of driving?
Don’t drive if the engine warning is red, the temperature gauge is in the red, you see smoke or steam, the gearbox slips or sticks, the brake pedal feels soft, or you hear knocking that gets worse with speed. People drive 10 more minutes on a red light and turn an AED 800 sensor into an AED 12,000 engine rebuild. Don’t be that person.
