Bad alignment is the silent killer of tyres in the UAE. The roads here have hidden potholes, kerb knocks at speed bumps, and most owners don’t realise their car’s pulling slightly to one side until they’ve burned through a set of AED 2,400 tyres twice as fast as they should have. We do tyre fitting, wheel alignment and balancing at Al Bedaya Garage with computerised 4-wheel gear.
What does tyre and wheel alignment cover?
Three separate jobs that work together:
Tyre fitting. Mount new tyres, balance the wheel, fit valves, dispose of old tyres properly. We use a touchless rim-protection machine so no scratches on alloys.
Wheel alignment. A laser/camera-based 4-wheel alignment that measures camber, caster, and toe on all four corners, then adjusts everything back to manufacturer spec.
Wheel balancing. A computerised balancer that finds the heavy spot in the wheel and applies weights to cancel it out. Eliminates vibration at speed.
Most cars come in for all three at once when they get new tyres. Or just alignment after a kerb hit, or just balancing when there’s a vibration in the steering at 100 km/h.
How much does wheel alignment cost in the UAE?
- Wheel alignment (4-wheel computerised): AED 80 to AED 150
- Wheel balancing (per wheel): AED 25 to AED 40
- Tyre fitting (per tyre): AED 20 to AED 50 depending on size
- Tyre supply: huge range, we’ll match brand to your budget
If you bring all four new tyres for fitting plus alignment plus balancing, expect a total around AED 250 to AED 350 for the labour. Tyres themselves are extra.

How long does wheel alignment take?
Alignment alone: 45 to 75 minutes. Balancing four wheels: 30 to 45 minutes. Tyre changes (all four): about an hour.
Full package, new tyres plus alignment plus balancing, plan for 2 to 3 hours. You can wait or drop the car.
When should I book wheel alignment?
Six clear signs you need alignment now, not next month:
- Car pulls left or right when you drive straight on a level road
- Steering wheel is off-centre when you’re going straight
- Tyres wearing unevenly (more on the inside or outside edge)
- New tyres wearing out faster than the last set
- After hitting a deep pothole or kerb at speed
- Vibration in the steering wheel between 80 and 120 km/h (that’s usually balancing, not alignment)
Sound familiar? Most drivers ignore the first two for months. By then the tyres are wrecked.
What does this mean for you? Alignment costs AED 100. A set of tyres costs AED 1,600 to 4,000. Do the alignment.
What we’ve learned from 25 years of UAE tyres
Two things UAE drivers consistently get wrong:
Tyre age, not just tread. Tyres rot from UV exposure even when the tread looks fine. A 5-year-old tyre with 50% tread can be more dangerous than a 2-year-old tyre with 20% tread. Check the DOT code on the sidewall. If it’s older than 5 years, replace.
Wrong pressure for the temperature. UAE summer roads run at 60-70°C. Your tyre pressure spikes. The label inside the door is for cold tyres, not midday Ajman. We set pressure with this in mind, especially before long drives.
We had a customer (commercial van fleet owner, 8 vans), tyres wearing inside-edge across the whole fleet. Turned out the original setup shop never aligned anything after fitting new shock absorbers. We aligned all 8 vans in two days, tyre life on the next set was 40% longer. He saved more in 18 months than the alignment cost.
Trust us on this. Alignment is the cheapest car servicing you’ll ever pay for and the one with the highest payback.
FAQ
How often should I get an alignment in the UAE? Every 10,000 km, after any kerb or pothole hit, and always when fitting new tyres. UAE roads are harder on suspension geometry than European roads.
Why do my tyres vibrate at high speed only? That’s almost always balancing, not alignment. The weights have either fallen off or the wheels need rebalancing. 30-minute fix.
Can you align low-profile alloys without scratching them? Yes. Our tyre machine has a touchless arm specifically for alloys. We’ve done 20-inch and 22-inch wheels on Range Rovers, BMWs, Mercedes.
Do you sell run-flat tyres? Yes, all the major brands. Run-flats are common on BMWs, some Mercedes, Mini Coopers. We have the right machine to fit them.
Will alignment fix my pulling steering wheel? If the pull is from misalignment, yes. If it’s from a worn tie-rod, ball joint, or unevenly worn tyre, we need to fix those first. The inspection tells us which.
